Step One: inquiry
Both the candidate organization and Senior Independence will mutually consider one another and determine eligibility in the  iPartner program. The following are Senior Independence’s criteria standards for candidate organizations who are considering participating in the iPartner program.

  • AAHSA member in good standing or reputable nonprofit senior services provider with strong performance on quality surveys and customer satisfaction.
  • Retirement community or multi-level provider serving more than 200 residents. The more served in a given geographic area (i.e. a 50 mile radius).
  • Preference given to faith-based systems.
  • No other Senior Independence iPartner or operation is located in the applicant’s county location. Each iPartner will have exclusive rights.
  • Located in states not requiring a CON for home health or hospice unless provider is able to obtain CON prior to working with Senior Independence, or is willing to purchase an existing agency.
  • Strong financial performance. Able to fund start up operating and capital expenses for home health and hospice.
  • Have email and internet access and are computerized for business functions.
  • Ability and willingness to pay competitive home health and hospice wages.
  • Aging in place policies instituted that maximize use of home care and hospice, or are willing to change current transition practices.
  • Executive leadership that is open to innovation, willing to risk, and committed to expanding options for seniors.
Step Two: intention
Both Senior Independence and your organization sign a confidentiality agreement to allow for appropriate information sharing, planning and due diligence activities.

Senior Independence staff will meet with candidate organizations by phone or in person to review the iPartner program and terms. After this meeting, Senior Independence will share the iPartner agreement with the candidate organization.

iPartner Web Access Once you have signed the      confidentiality agreement, your organization has access to our      iPartner website. As you progress through the steps of      becoming an iPartner, your web page expands to include the      tools you will need for each phase.

Step Three: input
Once the criteria are met and the confidentiality agreement is in place, the candidate organization works with Senor Independence to conduct the following assessments and analyses:

  1. Internal Needs Analysis: This analysis will assist your organization in determining sufficient campus support for home health and hospice.
  2. External Market Questionnaire: Assists in determining sufficient community receptivity for home health and hospice.
  3. Human Resources Analysis: This information will be used in developing your organization’s 5-year pro forma for home and community based services.
  4. Information Systems Assessment: This assessment will determine what, if any, additional support your organization may need in accommodating clinical and billing systems.
These completed assessments and analyses will assist in the development of your individualized 5-year pro forma providing your organization with investment guidelines.

Materials are available as a pdf or word document so that      your organization can easily download and upload analysis      and assessments from your iPartner website.

Step Four: investment
The iPartner candidate pays an assessment fee per market per service (home care and hospice) for market feasibility and pro forma development.

We will work with you in developing a start-up operations plan and a five-year pro forma, including investment guidelines.

Your 5-year pro forma with investment guidelines and      your market feasibility study will be available on your website      as it is completed. Web access eliminates any delays in      receiving your documents, and allows immediate feedback and      discussion between your organization and Senior      Independence.

Step Five: integration
The candidate will seek necessary approvals and financing from its organization. Senior Independence can provide support in educational materials, financial presentations and exhibits to assist your organization in developing board presentations.

Support is available on your website and will include:      power point presentations, educational materials and other      board communication support.

Step Six: implementation

  1. Both parties sign the contract and the iPartner pays the implementation fee(s).
  2. Senior Independence works with the iPartner on an implementation plan.
  3. Senior Independence assists with Medicare certification for home health and/or hospice.
  4. iPartner has complete access to Senior Independence brand logos, collateral materials and marketing programs.
  5. Once the iPartner has begun operations, management services begin.
  6. Ongoing management and licensing fee.

     Web access now includes:
  • Manuals for all contracted services.
  • Senior Independence collateral materials and logos.
  • Training for clinical mangers and sales personnel.
  • Calendar and message board with significant dates and information related to training schedules, re-certifications, etc.
